Chaplains Corner

Posted by Debbie Proffitt (Secretary) on Apr 10, 2023

Good evening comrades. Unless something changes, this is my final Chaplain’s corner. I am writing this on Easter Monday. I am struck by the season. We are in the late middle of Ramadan, Passover has just ended and Easter is done. Let us remember and honor the holidays as they come. For those of you who ride with the Sikhs, they are celebrating Baisakhi (Vaisakhi) around April 14. This is such a powerful season for many religious traditions.

I am so thankful that I have been able to serve at the state level for the past six years. Bob Perryman was the one who helped me to start as an Area VP for Area 1. I say helped, but he pushed me off the ledge. I am grateful to all who have helped me and for the interactions I have had. The opportunity I had to serve with Rey as his state VP for two years, and now with Mike. Thank you all.

May God bless you and help us support the mission of the American Legion and the Riders.

For God and Country
